There’s an iPhone in my Future

31 03 2007

I’ve been interested in the iPhone since I learned of it. Of course, one would think that I had actually watched the Macworld Keynote where Jobs introduced the iPhone. Nope.

I had downloaded the iPod version of the video, but it’s an hour and 45 minutes long and I just didn’t have the time to sit through it.

As I’m traveling back from CTIA this past Thursday night, I had finished my book, read all my magazines and was surrounded by a loudly giggling group of high school girls from the Glen Ridge Girls Softball Team. (Who called me, “Sir”. *Sigh*) I decided it was finally time to watch the keynote.

OMG.

If you thought that I wasn’t going to get one of these, you can put that out of your mind right now.

It makes my Treo 700p look like a brick and my Moto Q with WinMo 5 look like a software engineer’s side project. Of course, I’ll either have to pay Verizon $175 to get out of my contract or wait until the contract is up in June of ‘08.

The latter makes more sense, since they’ll have likely worked the bugs out of the phone by then, but I know myself better than that. I’ll be lucky if I can make it to July before I grab one of these. ;)
